Old Mutual Pension and Life Companies on Monday awarded brokers that contributed to the company’s success in 2021.
During the awards ceremony in Blantyre, Minet Insurance Brokers Limited dominated that day after getting three accolades. The company was decorated as the most innovative broker and also broker with the highest pension collection rate.
The firm was also named as a broker with highest client retention rate; an award it shared with Mahogany, Marsh, Kingfisher, Trinity, Canopy and Rhino Insurance Brokers Limited Companies.
The most improved broker on sales award went to Mahogany while Marsh emerged as the broker with highest premium collection rate.
Old Mutual General Manager Tawonga Manda said the awards were a way of appreciating the value and contributions that the brokers bring to their business.
“These are the people that help us get business. This engagement stems our need to stay in close contact with our brokers and also present our appreciation for their efforts and performance in the year. They are an extension of Old Mutual because they are able to reach customers that, in some cases, we cannot reach,” Manda said.
Marsh Malawi Chief Operating Officer Tom Mwamadi hailed Old Mutual for recognising them.
“We as brokers help in brining business to Old Mutual and for them to consider awarding us is something we cherish and it also gives us confidence that we deal with a company that cares”, Mwamadi said.
Old Mutual has seven brokers.
