Our journey started almost 70 years ago as JH Minet Company. In 1997 Aon, the leading global provider of risk management, human resource consulting and outsourcing, acquired the U.K. shareholder, London Minet, as part of their African expansion strategy. As a result, the company became Aon Minet, and subsequently Aon. In 2017 private equity firm Capitalworks acquired Aon’s shareholding in several African operations, alongside local shareholders including governments in many markets, which has created what is now Aon’s largest Global Network Correspondent.

Raju Dave
Executive Chairman

Raju Dave is Executive Chairman at Minet Tanzania and has an overall responsibility for the practical and strategic planning of the market and the development of major corporate accounts. Raju has an extensive experience of more than 40 years in the insurance industry and is a Graduate from Bombay, India.

Ian Baigrie
Chief Executive Officer

Ian Baigrie is Chief Executive Officer at Minet Tanzania and has an overall responsibility for the insurance and claims implementation, and reinsurance in general. Ian has more than 39 years of experience in the insurance industry and was previously the General Manager at Heritage Insurance Company (Tanzania) Limited and CEO at Global Alliance / ABSA Maputo Mozambique. He is a graduate from Smith Street College, Braamfontein in South Africa.

Mehreen Khatri
Divisional Director

Mehreen Khatri is Divisional Director at Minet Tanzania and is responsible for the servicing of corporate clients as well as new business development. Mehreen has a 16 years’ experience in the insurance industry and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Neema Msangi
Divisional Director

Neema Msangi is Divisional Director at Minet Tanzania and is responsible for the servicing of corporate clients as well as new business development. Neema was previously heading the claims department at Minet Tanzania and has seven years’ experience in handling general insurance claims (both motor and non-motor). She is currently pursuing a master’s of Science programme in Finance and Insurance from the University of Nairobi and holds a Bachelor of commerce (Insurance option) from the University of Nairobi, School of Business.

Zainab Matundu
Deputy Divisional Director & Principle Officer

Zainab Matundu is Deputy Divisional Director & Principle Officer at Minet Tanzania and is responsible for the development of new businesses and servicing of corporate clients. Zainab has a 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry and is a Graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Holder of Certificate of Insurance of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Cecillia Pallangyo
Senior Account Executive – Employee Benefits

Cecillia Pallangyo is Senior Account Executive – Employee Benefits at Minet Tanzania and is responsible for servicing of corporate and individual clients in Medical and Life Insurance. Cecillia has over 10 years’ experience in the medical insurance field and obtained her master’s in business administration (MBA), from Mzumbe University, Dar es Salaam. Furthermore, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration – Second Class Honours from University of Dar es Salaam and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Tanga Medical College.

Simon Kellya
Financial Controller

Simon Kellya is Financial Controller at Minet Tanzania and is heading the Finance, Human Resources and Administration Department. Simon has 18 years’ of field experience and was previously Finance Manager at Minet Tanzania, after joining the company as an Assistant Manager – Accounts. He is a Certified Public Accountant – CPA (T), Graduated master’s in business administration (MBA) from Mzumbe University, Dar es Salaam, a Postgraduate in Finance Management (IFM), and holds a Certificate of Proficiency – COP (RSA).

Gabriel Sam
Branch Manager (Arusha Office)

Gabriel Sam is Branch Manager – Arusha Office and is responsible for all operations run at the Arusha Branch and Northern part of Tanzania. Gabriel has more than 9 years’ experience in the insurance industry and is currently pursuing MSc Finance and Investment at Coventry University. He has furthermore holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management – Institute of Finance Management.
