Our journey started almost 70 years ago as JH Minet Company. In 1997 Aon, the leading global provider of risk management, human resource consulting and outsourcing, acquired the U.K. shareholder, London Minet, as part of their African expansion strategy. As a result, the company became Aon Minet, and subsequently Aon. In 2017 private equity firm Capitalworks acquired Aon’s shareholding in several African operations, alongside local shareholders including governments in many markets, which has created what is now Aon’s largest Global Network Correspondent.

Antoinette van Wyk
Antoinette van Wyk is Managing Director at Minet Namibia. She previously held the position of Financial Manager at Aon Namibia, a company she joined back in 1996. Antoinette has over 25 years of experience in the insurance sector in Namibia. She serves on the Minet Exco board and is a Council member of the Namibia Insurance Broker Association as well as a Council member on the Insurance Institute of Namibia.
Business Unit Head: Administration
Christele Koorts is Business Unit Head – Administration at Minet Namibia. Christele has spent over 25 years of her working career in Insurance (Personal and Commercial) and joined Minet in 2008. Christele specializes in Commercial, Corporate, Aviation, Contractors Policies, Renewable Energy, Tourism, Hospitality, Travel, Employee Benefits, SME’s as well as other fields of Short-Term Insurance Business.
Business Unit Head: Claims
Melanie Lambert is Business Unit Head – Claims at Minet Namibia. Melanie has spent over 25 years of her working career in Insurance and was appointed as Claims Manager from 2011. In 2017, her responsibilities were expanded to furthermore manage the Personal Lines Underwriting department.
Yolande Jansen van Vuuren
Business Unit Head: Sales
Yolande Jansen van Vuuren is Business Unit Head – Sales at Minet Namibia. Yolande has spent over 25 years of her working career in Insurance and joined Minet in 2009. Her area of expertise is in Corporate, Niche and Commercial Short-Term Insurance Business and also occasionally assists with Personal Insurance.
Elmarensia Jordaan is Account Manager at Minet Namibia. Elmarensia has spent over 15 years of her working career in Insurance. Her area of expertise is in construction, transport, renewal energy, property owners, retail, and tourism insurance.
Helen Engelhardt is Office Manager at Minet Namibia. Helen has spent more than 30 years of her working career in the insurance industry. She was appointed in 2008 as the Personal Assistant to the Country Manager and assisted in the administration and related duties to reinsure clients handled on behalf of Willes Re in Namibia. From 2013, her responsibilities and duties changed to Human Resources and in 2015 she was promoted to Office Manager.
Bee-Jay Buys is Account Manager at Minet Namibia. Bee-Jay specializes in personal, commercial, agricultural, tourism, transport and engineering insurance to mention a few and has been in the short-term insurance industry for the past 16 years.
Lloyd Farmer is IT Manager at Minet Namibia. With a wealth of experience in both IT sales and in the technical industry, Lloyd brings with him great knowledge in all aspects of IT and customer service. He joined Minet in 2019.
